On several occasions, the Connecting Lagos boss has often ascribed his steady rise in life to the support he got from his mother. He has often said his mother was his first mentor who trained him in entrepreneurship and most especially politics. Quite unfortunately, he lost his mother Alhaja Asibiallahu Olaide Agaba to death three years ago. Since the demise of his mum, Aregbe has vowed to hold an annual Islamic lecture in memory of his late mum. On Tuesday, April 27, the political science graduate from the University of Lagos converged Muslim faithful and top Islamic clerics at his mother’s abode in Surulere, Lagos to hold a lecture in her memory. It was well attended by top Lagos politicians, socialites, and Islamic clerics like Sheik Buhari Omo Musa, Ustaz Saeed Salmon, and Ustaz Abdul Hakeem Muhammad, and a host of others.
Aregbe is popular as a cultural ambassador who has constantly propagated Yoruba culture among the youth demography in and outside Nigeria with the Culturatti annual event. Under his watch, through the ‘Sisi Oge’ beauty pageant, Aregbe has promoted the Yoruba culture from using its fabrics, dress code, meals, and language and lifestyle to draw the attention of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
