‘Convert birthday gifts to cash’

Our Reporter

Rather than shower him with gifts and congratulatory messages on his birthday, Anthony Oluwatoyin Iyare, a former Special Adviser on Media to Adams Oshiomhole when he held the fort as Edo State governor, has urged his friends to convert such goodwill to cash.

Iyare said such gestures by well-wishers would assist him in giving back to his former schools.

The one-time spokesman, who turns 60 today, said: “All gifts should be converted cash to support my pet project meant to give back to all the schools from primary, secondary and university which provided solid foundation for my upbringing.”

Iyaye urged the well-wishers to make their contributions to a dedicated account 2091074544 domiciled at the United Bank of Africa (UBA).
